2. Scope and acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lumory iOS application and the Lumory pages on this website at stabe-software.com/lumory (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Lumory, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

3. Service description

Lumory is a journaling app built around a short daily check-in: one color, one sentence, and a few tags. The App visualizes your entries as a journal timeline, a year in color, streaks, and — with Lumory Premium — connected views such as the Life Galaxy and pattern insights. All journal data is stored on your device.

Lumory is a reflection aid. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, nor is it a substitute for professional mental-health care.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Lumory. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Lumory Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription for $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year, each with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
After the free trial, your subscription renews automatically at the selected price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device.
Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or circumvent the Service except as permitted by law, and not to use it in any unlawful way.

7. Intellectual property

The Lumory app, this website, and all associated branding, design, and content are owned by the Provider or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Your journal entries are yours; we claim no rights in the content you write.

8. Privacy

Lumory does not collect or store personal data, in the App or on this website — see our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

9. Availability

We work to keep Lumory reliable, but the Service depends on your device and on Apple's frameworks. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some features — such as the on-device weekly AI recap — require newer devices and iOS versions and may not be available on all hardware. Because your data lives on your device, keeping a backup export is your responsibility.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumory and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of journal data.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Lumory at any time by deleting the app. We may discontinue, suspend, or modify the Service at any time; where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice of changes that materially affect you.

12. Dispute resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
